YOU AND YOUR LANGUAGE

Whenever you look at yourself in a mirror, you are looking at one of the miracles of the world.

Behind the eyes, the mouth, the ears, the nose, and the skin, all of which bring information to your brain, lies the brain itself- a magnificent computer, far more complex and skillful than any computer ever built. Stored within your brain-computer is a great wealth of perceptions, ideas, and memories that have come to you through years of experience. In an instant you can select the information you need.

Animals also have computers inside their heads. They can remember to some extent, and sometimes they appear to guess what will happen next in order to get ready for it. Nearly all animals can make noises by which they might communicate with one another, perhaps about danger or food or some very simple desire. Some animals can be trained to react to commands spoken by humans, and a few can even be taught to make "human" sounds. But human beings alone among the members of the animal kingdom can produce the complex and meaningful sounds of speech.

It is the special capacity to communicate through speech, quickly, easily, and accurately, that makes you truly human. As you look into your mirror, you should feel a sense of pride in knowing that you have mastered one of the most complicated systems known to man: language. You have learned much of what there is to know about communicating with other people through the language system of speech, and you learned it so easily that you may not even be aware of your accomplishment.

Our Sixth Sense-- Creative Imagination The reality of a sixth sense has been fairly well established. This sixth sense is creative imagination. The faculty of creative imagination is one which the majority of people never use during an entire lifetime, and if used at all, it usually happens by mere accident.  A relatively small number of people use, with deliberation and purpose afterthought, the faculty of creative imagination. Those who use this faculty voluntarily, and with understanding of its functions, are geniuses. The faculty of creative imagination is the direct link between the finite mind of man and Infinite Intelligence. All so-called revelations referred to in the realm of religion, and all discoveries of basic or new principles in the field of invention take place through the faculty of creative imagination.

Recreation; Applied Imagination

CHAPTER I.2 Imagination is more important than knowledge -  Albert Einstein       Principles and Procedures of Creative Problem-Solving.  Imagination made America  It was only about 500 years ago that Europe began to rate the power of thinking, and especially creative thinking, on a par with the power of brute force. It was this new attitude that gave vitality to the Renaissance. North America was the lucky beneficiary of the world's creative upsurge. As The New Yorker has said, "Ideas are what the United States are made of." Without doubt, our new heights in standard of living have been reached through creative thinking. One idea inherited by America from Europe was a way to use fire by means of an internal combustion engine. This gave birth to our automotive industry, without which America's standard of living would be far lower. For it alone gives gainful occupation to over 9,000,000 of us. Agricultural ideas have made far richer th
